Beauty over 40 in this heat — what I stopped buying

Dubai summer is a product filter. Anything that looked good in a London bathroom gets a second exam here.

I stopped: heavy powder foundation, perfume-heavy SPF that stings, and cream products that slide into my laugh lines by 11am.

I kept: a fragrance-free SPF that sits under makeup (La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMune 400), a cream blush I can tap on with a finger, and a brow gel. That’s the face I leave the house with.
